UMPC - Ultra Mobile PCs

An Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) is a Tablet PC fits in between a laptop and a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). It typically comes with:

• A screen between 5 and 10 inches
• Windows XP Tablet Edition or Home Edition
• A touch screen, stylus and control buttons
• An inbuilt or optional detachable keyboard
• All the connection options of a laptop.

A UMPC is just a really small personal computer. It can do anything that your laptop can, but it fits in your handbag or briefcase.

For example, you could use it to:

• Check your email
• Read eBooks with Amazon Kindle or Barnes & Noble PC software (and many others)
• Browse the web
• Run your windows programs
• Check your stock levels
• Create an invoice
• Do anything that you can on your laptop.

UMPCs have the additional the capabilities of touch screen input. Many of the UMPCs that we sell now come with inbuilt mobile broadband (Next G compatible).
